Carmen brings both personal and professional experience to her therapeutic work. As a Latina woman, Carmen has faced numerous challenges, including financial struggles, and needing to work while studying full-time. She is exceptionally mature and wise beyond her years.
Carmen is passionate about providing high quality care and breaking the stigma around mental health in her own community, as well as other marginalized communities.
Carmen attributes her high-school guidance counselor with playing a pivotal role in inspiring Carmen to pursue this path, demonstrating the profound impact that empathy and support can have on others.
Carmen is committed to fostering an environment of empathy, understanding, and encouragement for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to navigate their mental health journeys and achieve their full potential.
Carmen graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and is currently completing the requirements for her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from the same institution.
